Day 0 is to represent the day we actually take off from home. Being that we will be on an overnight flight, most of our travel takes place on Day 0. Our goal is to make sure that we only have one stop. We are in a small enough market that this makes it a little more challenging.
One of the things that has worked for us in the past is to actually have a really long layover. This gives us the change to leave the airport and explore the city we are in before heading to our final destination. For purposes in this itinerary I choose the most ideal flight. I am sure between price and the time we actually leave, we will have to modify this schedule.
